Noticias | Maritime Works Division renews for five years the certifications granted by classification agencies

This means that the company has the international authorizations to perform the surveys and inspections of ships and naval crafts that must be carried out in Chile and abroad.

A great satisfaction for Oxxean’s  Maritime Works Division  was the renewal of the certifications granted by Classification Agencies, which on average are for 5 years, becoming the only private company in the south of Chile with said certifications.

This means that the company has the international authorizations to perform the surveys and inspections of ships and naval crafts that must be carried out locally and abroad, by international classification societies recognized by the Dirección General Marítima of Chile.

«This allows us to offer a differentiated service in the area of inspections to national and foreign vessels, meeting the highest safety standards. This work is done with top-level professionals and resources, management, communication and research systems to carry out the inspection and survey activities established in Supreme Decrees (M) Number 248 of 2004 and Number 146 of 1987, and the international conventions in force in Chile,» says Gustavo Pacheco, head of Oxxean’s Underwater Inspection and Maritime Salvage Department.

Oxxean’s Maritime Works is an organization well recognized in Chile and according to the international agreements in force, has renewed the certification of the following Classification Agencies: AMERICAN BUREAU OF SHIPPING (ABS); DNV GL; LLOYD’S REGISTER (LR); NIPPON KAIJI KYOKAI (NK) and REGISTRO ITALIANO NAVALE (RINA).
